Durham Book Club
Welcome to Durham Book Club!
Durham Book Club isn't your typical reading program - it's a year-round effort led entirely by middle school students.
It's not just about books. It's about building leaders and connecting kids through shared stories, and we hope you'll join us. While you're here, take a look around, check out what we do, and leave a note. We love to hear from you!
2025 Registration is OPEN!
Durham Book Club is BACK and better than ever! Beginning January 17th, registration will be open for all 5th through 8th graders in Durham. Never heard of us before? The process is simple:
Durham Book Club takes place April through July, and each month we read one book. In January and February, you can register to receive your books for FREE at your school or a Durham County Library location, sometime in March. Then, each month of DBC, we hold a full group in-person activity, as well as small-group book discussions! Can't attend in person? No problem! We also offer online activities each month.
Our summer program, DBCreads, is part of a larger initiative of Durham Book Club- our other branches include DBCwrites (we have a blog!) and DBCtalks (we have a podcast!). Durham Book Club is supported by our parent organization, StrongHERTogetHER.
